Private Division has signed agreements with four indie studios — among them are Dragon Age veterans and the creators of Sonic Mania
The subsidiary publishing department of Take-Two Interactive called Private Division announced the conclusion of agreements with four independent studios Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio and Yellow Brick Games.
The deal means that the new games of these teams will be released under the auspices and with the support of Private Division. Four titles from studios are still in the early stages of development, and the release of one of them will take place earlier than the 2024 fiscal year, that is, after April 1, 2023.
The developers from Die Gut Fabrik are known for local multiplayer games Sportsfriends and Johann Sebastian. It is expected that their next project will be a story-oriented adventure.
Evening Star was founded in 2018 by the former creators of Sonic Mania and Sonic Mania Plus. The studio is engaged in a 3D action platformer on its own Star Engine.
Yellow Brick Games from the whole list is perhaps the most experienced. The company was founded in 2020 by Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw. Together with him, the developers of The Crew and Assassin's Creed Syndicate work in the studio. The team is working on a project in the Action-RPG genre.
In mid-November last year, Private Division bought the studio Roll7, the creators of OlliOlli World.
