Chess has been a favorite game of strategists, intellectuals and just those who like to challenge their brain for many centuries. Over the years, chess has been repeatedly reworked, modified, and generally experimented with in order to add additional depth to the board game. And one of the modern interpretations came from the developer Benjamin Soule, who added a bit of a cruel "twist" — in his chess pieces can shoot at each other.

As part of the LDJAM game-jam, Benjamin developed chess, where classical rules apply, but instead of having an army of pieces at the player's disposal, our only piece is equipped with a royal shotgun.

Although the game is a typical project made for jam, the team will be working on a full version this month.
